Your choice if you watch it, and everyone has their opinions.
I have the right to have one.
…in the past hours I had to read a lot so that I’m aware of what this is. After everything I saw and read.. I wondered on what Planet did I live till now, that I never heard of these people and their horrible atrocities..
I know there are many problems and social issues going on in Africa, I know there is poverty, I know they have no condition of living – and I don’t talk about the big cities or the rich parts of this continent..
For me what happened in Rwanda in 1994 is still outrageous and unbelievable, and nobody should forget that in 100 days over 1 million people were cold blooded, ruthlessly and systematic killed..
The video that is now being shared by many activists and by the Invisible Children organisation is not a joke – as I was astonish to see some ”people” think of it..- it’s also not a reason for USA to go dig up oil from Uganda -as some are saying… but it’s a sign to wake up and unite for a strong cause that is affecting not only this country, but the whole world, it’s by far a cry to the world that does not know what goes on there for more than 20 years…
In 1994 there was no internet..no mobile phones like today..no real connection between nations all over the world…and WE all failed to help Rwanda..
Today we might stand a chance to do something that could change the future of many lives for the better. Somebody said ”oh well this not anymore an Uganda issue, Uganda has now other problems”, and you can forget all the killings and abductions and destroyed families and lives??? Why? How?
Kony is still out there doing his things, and we should just forget about it?
Someone else said why Kony and not Syria ?? No offence to the victims- for which I had thoughts here on my blog, and no offence to the innocent ones, but this war of Uganda is on since 1986 !!! This is not the point– it’s not about helping one country over another! this is not a choice between victims! this is a crime against humanity as much as what is happening in Syria right now, and as much as it is happening anywhere in the world right now and as it happened all over East Europe in the 90’s.. and as it happened in Egypt..and so on! nobody is less of a victim here..
The video shows us how strong we can be, and how we can help not only Uganda, but anybody and any cause if we unite.. we have to start from somewhere!
who is KONY???
”Joseph Kony (born 18 September 1964 in Odek, Uganda is a Ugandan guerrilla group leader, head of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a group engaged in a violent campaign to establish theocratic government based on the Ten Commandments throughout Uganda.
Directed by Kony, the LRA has earned a reputation for its actions against the people of several countries, including northern Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Sudan. It has abducted and forced an estimated 66,000 children to fight for them, and has also forced the internal displacement of over 2,000,000 people since its rebellion began in 1986. As a result, in 2005 Kony was indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court at the Hague, but has succeeded in evading capture since”.
and YES, I am sharing, spreading and fighting for the whole world, for freedom, for the right to live, for the future of our children.
