…or I should say Google Glasses are finally debuting. Literally on a catwalk. And not on any catwalk, but on Diane Von Furstenberg’s catwalk.
Of course the “apple” mouths opened and criticized the event, made it questionable…and so on..blah blah… But Mr Sergey Brin (from Google) didn’t seem bothered or distracted from his glorious moment!
Because it is one of those!
Soon, most smartphone users will want one of those..
Appearing on the catwalk is just a part of their documentary project, so let’s not make a big fuss of it.
Of course when you want to promote a product, and sell it later…where else if not in the middle of a crowd full of Hollywood Stars and Vip-s and when all eyes are on you??? Would be stupid not to take advantage!
What are Google Glasses?!
Wikipedia sais:
“Project Glass is a research and development program by Google to develop an augmented reality head-mounted display (HMD). The intended purpose of Project Glass products would be the hands-free displaying of information currently available to most smartphone users, and allowing for interaction with the Internet via natural language voice commands. The functionality and physical appearance (minimalist design of the aluminium strip with 2 nose pads) has been compared to Steve Mann‘s EyeTap, which was also referred to as “Glass” (“EyeTap Digital Eye Glass”, i.e. use of the word “Glass” in singular rather than plural form “Glasses”).
The operating system software used in the glass will be Google’s Android.
Project Glass is part of the Google X Lab at the company, which has worked on other futuristic technologies, such as a self-driving car. The project was announced on Google+ by Babak Parviz, an electrical engineer who has also worked on putting displays into contact lenses; Steve Lee, a project manager and “geolocation specialist”; and Sebastian Thrun, who developed Udacity as well as worked on the self-driving car project.
Google has patented the design of Project Glass”
So there you go Apple,You won’t really be suing them for the moment…unless you got the patent for the “glasses form” ??!!!!-which would not surprise me…in USA anything (stupid enough) is patented…
After I’ve seen what they are capable of…and especially the PHOTOGRAPHY section 🙂 I’m so into them! I want one!
They can do so much! this can give you an idea! :
No need for words anymore! I’m so excited!
Well…not excited as 1,500 $…as this is the price tag..and orders that are being made right now will only be shipped in 2013..so.. But still!
DVF catwalk “gals”
and the funny side of it!
Oh I love technology!
Wishing you all a great Monday!
